Eleven of the victims were interred on the 19 Jan 1901, five at Hyde, four at Denton and two at
Guide Bridge. In all these townships, the day was observed as one of mourning.
A relief fund in aid of the bereaved raised £2,520 11s 3½d.
The first nine deaths were recorded in the Sub-District of Denton and the registers are held at the Tameside Register Office,
Dukinfield Town Hall, King St, Dukinfield, Cheshire. The last four deaths were recorded in the Sub-District of Central, Manchester,
and the registers are held at the Manchester Register Office, Heron House, Lloyd St, Manchester.
