†The locality known as Reddish Vale (or Old Mill) was part of the Ecclesiastical District of Denton, St Lawrence, and it consisted of a row of cottages near the bottom of Ross Lave Lane. It was sandwiched between Ross Lave Lane, a mill race and the Sheffield & Midland Joint Railway, by the viaduct over Reddish Vale known as Sixteen Arches.

The next section is for miners who lived in the township of Haughton comprising the south side of Two Trees Lane, the north side of Haughton Green Road and Lower Haughton. This area then lay within the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Lawrence's Church (Denton Chapel).
